Highland Perthshire is a great location for seeing some of Scotland’s most iconic wildlife in its natural setting. Red and Roe deer are frequent visitors to the fields around the cottage and regularly help themselves to a meal from the garden. They are particularly fond of the Camelia!! Red Squirrels play in the trees to the rear of the cottage and numerous small birds and some larger ones such as grouse and partridges can be found in the garden.

One visitor saw pine martens and its not unusual to see owls. If you venture into Glen Lyon you might be lucky enough to see an eagle on high, while Loch of the Lowes near Dunkeld in renowned for its Ospreys.
